Job summary

You will process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls, maintain records, verify timesheets, and resolve discrepancies, contributing to month-end and year-end close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing preferred.
• Proficiency with payroll software and Excel.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and compliance requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.
• CPP designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls on schedule.
• Maintain payroll records, earnings, deductions, and tax info.
• Review and verify timesheets, attendance, and payroll adjustments.

Key Responsibilities - Payroll Specialist

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule
• Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, and tax information
• Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and payroll adjustments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and direct deposit updates
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assist with payroll audits and preparation of payroll-related reports

Qualifications - Payroll Specialist
