Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, IRS reporting, and system testing for upgrades. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5 years of accounting experience with 1 year of leadership, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years accounting experience with 1 year of leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and IRS reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures payroll processes are documented and posted accurately and on schedule.
• Ensures reporting compliance with government agencies (IRS and others).
• Has authority over personnel actions within payroll team.
• Identifies process improvements and defines new process standards.
• Back-up support for payroll processing during peak times.
• Resolves payroll technical issues with understanding of the full payroll process.
• Sets up new benefit plans and adjusts codes for posting rules.
• Tests payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
• Acts as subject matter expert and escalation point for payroll issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
