What you bring
  • Expertise in payroll processes, specifically for employees under the portage salarial business model.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing payroll processes supporting the portage salarial model.
  • Deep working knowledge of French labor law related to portage salarial, including URSSAF, retirement schemes, and unemployment rights for salariés en portage salarial.
  • Experience working on payroll systems (using Silae) and services in a multi-product, high-growth scale-up company.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Help build and maintain portage salarial payroll with Remote product, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of proprietary payroll software deployment for portage salarial.
  • Ensure correct interpretation of contracts, billing schedules, and reimbursements for salariés en portage salarial.
  • Process professional expenses, per diems, and travel reimbursements, ensuring legal and fiscal compliance.
  • Work closely with legal and account management teams to ensure full compliance and support for portage employees and customers.
  • Coordinate with Remote internal teams to facilitate testing and integration of platform changes to support payroll at Remote.
  • Develop payroll solutions in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Tax, and Accounting teams within the Remote platform.
  • Identify solutions to challenges, inconsistencies, and obstacles by collaborating with necessary stakeholders.
  • Evaluate third-party vendors based on needs and obligations to ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.

Our salary bands are broad, considering our international operations and distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to account for geographic pay differences, maintaining competitiveness worldwide. The base salary range for this full-time position is $40,700 to $91,650 USD, depending on role, level, location, skills, experience, and market conditions. Actual pay will be determined accordingly and may change.

We foster internal mobility, supporting employee growth with pay equity and fairness. Salary adjustments from internal moves are reviewed case-by-case by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team.
