Base pay range

$36.00/yr - $38.00/yr

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager in Lodi, NJ, to oversee all aspects of payroll processing for non-union and union employees across multiple states and entities. The Payroll Manager will ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, labor laws, and company policies, while delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

Job Function

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for both non-union and union employees, ensuring accurate and timely wage distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) in all payroll calculations and deductions.
  • Handle payroll deductions, including union dues, taxes, insurance premiums, and retirement contributions.
  • Perform regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance with CBAs, and adherence to labor laws.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system for all personnel actions (e.g., promotions, terminations, raises).
  • Generate and submit required payroll reports for tax filings, worker’s compensation, 401K plans, and union reporting.

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in payroll processing and cost accounting, including job costing, labor and overhead allocation, and expense tracking across departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
