Job summary

KBW Financial in Waltham, MA is seeking a Back Payroll Manager to lead weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff in a growing construction firm. This direct-hire role reports to the Controller and offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in the office, 1 day remote) with room for growth.

You will oversee payroll processing, ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines, supervise a Payroll Specialist, handle tax filings and year-end activities, and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years experience of high volume payroll.
• CPP certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience processing in-house payroll is a plus.
• Construction/Union Payroll experience is preferred (CMiC is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills.

• Manage an accurate and timely weekly payroll.
• Ensure all payroll is in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Oversee all Payroll Tax filings, audits and reconciliations.
• Assist with month and year end for Payroll.
• Process union benefit contributions, labor rates, and other deductions.

KBW has partnered with a growing construction firm in the greater Newton area that’s actively looking to add an experienced Payroll Manager to their team. The Payroll Manager will report directly into the Controller and will have lots of room for growth. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance with all federal and state guidelines, overseeing a payroll specialist as well as assisting with other ad hoc duties.

This is a direct hire position and they’re currently operating in a hybrid capacity with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Main Duties

The compensation for this role is between 100-125K depending on experience.
