The Payroll Manager, Americas at Moody's Corporation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll across multiple jurisdictions within the Americas region. This position requires a highly detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in multi-state U.S. payroll, Canadian payroll, and Latin American payroll requirements. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end payroll operations, manage complex pay scenarios, and ensure adherence to statutory regulations and company policies. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize payroll processes through automation, leveraging innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, and supporting audit and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive payroll experience, including hands-on expertise with multi-state U.S. payroll, Canadian payroll, and familiarity with CloudPay and ADP platforms, is required. Experience operating within SOX-controlled or highly regulated environments is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and multi-currency reconciliation. Strong knowledge of U.S. multi-state tax rules, Canadian tax requirements, and Latin American payroll regulations is essential. Additionally, experience with Workday payroll modules, time tracking, and integration is highly desirable. A solid understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with practical experience in applying AI tools to streamline payroll workflows and improve operational efficiency, is also preferred. Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently are critical for success in this role.
