Job summary

The Town of Frederick is seeking an HRIS & Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll, HRIS support, and related data processes. You will ensure data integrity across payroll, benefits, retirement contributions, taxes, and system integrations, partnering with People & Culture, Finance, and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

You will optimize payroll technology solutions, generate reports, assist with audits, and provide training to staff to improve processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Experience administering HRIS, payroll, or related applications.
• Knowledge of HRIS data integrity, payroll tax rules, and benefits deductions.
• Experience with system integrations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for HRIS, payroll systems, ticketing platforms, and related employee data systems.
• Administer full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of compensation, deductions, benefits, retirement contributions, taxes, and other transactions.
• Maintain HRIS, payroll, and employee data integrity by reviewing records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate information.
• Manage payroll and HR system integrations with benefits providers, retirement plans, tax agencies, financial systems, and vendors.
• Configure, maintain, and support HR systems settings, security, workflows, user permissions, and updates.
• Monitor interfaces, automated processes, data feeds, and integrations for accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide training and technical support to employees and managers regarding HR systems and payroll processes.
