MWR CPAs (Maloney, Wright & Robbins, CPAs) in Farmington, MO seeks an accountant to maintain accurate financial records, post journal entries, and support financial reporting. Payroll processing experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and discretion in a high-volume environment.

You will reconcile payroll and GL accounts, assist with month-end and year-end closes, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of hands-on payroll processing and/or general ledger experience.
• Strong payroll fundamentals, deductions, taxes, and compliance.
• Experience with payroll and accounting platforms; proficient in Excel.
• Must be accurate, discreet, and able to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication and strong customer service.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.

Aufgaben

• Maintain general ledger accounts with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank, payroll, and other GL accounts; research discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close; prepare schedules and documentation.
• Record and review accounts payable/receivable and cash activity.
• Process recurring and off-cycle payroll; review time records and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll to GL; prepare payroll reports and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s).
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain audit trails.
• Respond to client and employee inquiries professionally.
