SUNY Adirondack seeks a Payroll Coordinator to oversee the biweekly payroll for faculty, staff and student employees. You will manage BANNER data tables, run fringe benefit reports, and ensure accuracy. You will respond to employee inquiries and support payroll-related workflows across campus.
The role requires 3–5 years in payroll processing, familiarity with NYS and federal regulations, and a degree in accounting or related field. Office-based position in New York with standard hours.
Ensure the processing, accuracy and integrity of the college’s biweekly payroll, all related reports, and maintenance of the master tables for the BANNER computerized payroll system. This position requires an individual to facilitate both macro and micro payroll processes.
BANNER experience preferred, equivalent required. The Payroll Coordinator must be able to work on and complete projects independently.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 – 5 years experience in payroll processing; knowledge of current State and Federal payroll and insurance and retirement regulations.
Office worksite. Occasional lifting of 5lb-10lb.

$30.17 - $33.94 per hour
The selected candidate’s hourly rate will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as SUNY Adirondack’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
