Job summary

Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP is seeking a Payroll Compliance Auditor to ensure employers contribute to benefit funds in accordance with agreements. Office locations include Hauppauge, Floral Park, and Iselin. Background in auditing not essential; training provided.

Ideal candidates include payroll professionals, bookkeepers, data analysts or recent graduates, with travel a plus. Responsibilities cover analyzing payroll data, ledgers, and communicating with employers to ensure eligible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong Excel/database skills.
• Basic knowledge of payroll and tax records a plus but not required.
• Adept at problem solving with ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Responsible team player who can work independently as well.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll and related records to ensure completeness and compare to pension and health fund data.
• Analyze general ledgers and cash disbursement records.
• Communicate with employers to ensure all eligible participants receive the benefits they are entitled to.
• Prepare various schedules and reports and then explain the results to all parties involved.
