Job summary

Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP in Hauppauge, NY is seeking Payroll Compliance Auditors to ensure employers contribute correctly to benefit funds. Training is provided; payroll professionals, data analysts and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Travel may be a plus but not required.

Several positions exist at our Hauppauge, Floral Park, and Iselin offices. Roles involve analyzing payroll data, ledgers and fund records, communicating with employers to ensure eligible participants receive

Qualifications

• Background in Auditing not essential; we will train the right candidates.
• Payroll and tax records experience helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll and related records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze general ledgers and cash disbursement records.
• Communicate with employers to ensure all eligible participants receive benefits.
• Prepare various schedules and reports and explain results to all parties involved.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Excel/database skills
• Basic knowledge of payroll and tax records a plus but not required.
• Adept at problem solving ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions
• Responsible team player who can work independently as well
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally
