Job Description

Title: Payroll & Client Service Specialist

(Fully Remote, though hybrid preferred if located near Lakewood Ranch, FL): | (Location/based out of Lakewood Ranch, FL)

About the Role: The Payroll & Client Service Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, training, and system guidance to both POA clients and internal teams. This role focuses on optimizing the UKG Ready platform experience across the Payroll, HRMS, and TLM modules. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating both client-facing communication and backend system configurations. The Payroll & Client Service Specialist maintains a book of key accounts utilizing the UKG Ready platform, inputs payroll data accurately and timely, conducts client trainings, and assists in adding additional products as needed.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • High technical ability within the UKG Ready platform, including training clients, troubleshooting issues, and importing data
  • Current FPC or CPP Designation - Preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of Payroll Service Bureau Experience - Preferred
  • College Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge in Payroll, Tax, Garnishments, 401K, and Health Benefits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with excellent Microsoft Office skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, proactively anticipate client needs, maintain professional communication, and respond promptly
  • Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow POA business
  • Maintain a book of business and coordinate client training activities
  • Participate in client hand-off meetings with the Implementation Team
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members
  • Ensure data integrity and quality control over client data
  • Participate in internal and external training to expand knowledge
  • Support team as needed to ensure service excellence
  • Collaborate effectively with the POA team for process improvements
  • Maintain high technical competence and industry knowledge
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Engage in professional development activities
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values
