We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our thriving healthcare organization. In this exciting and rewarding role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations, ensuring that all our healthcare professionals are compensated accurately and on time. Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll for all employees on a bi‑weekly or monthly basis, ensuring all payments are made on time and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Manage expense reports, verify their accuracy, and ensure that all expenses are properly reimbursed.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records, identify any discrepancies or issues, and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions, including timesheets, invoices, and tax forms.
- Liaise with other departments such as HR and Finance to ensure all payroll‑related matters are handled efficiently.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest changes in payroll legislation and best practices, implementing these changes as necessary.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in payroll software and other relevant computer applications such as MS Office.
- Solid understanding of payroll and accounting principles, tax regulations, and procedures.
- Experience managing expense reports, conducting audits, and handling reimbursements.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
