Job summary

Mexcor in Houston, Texas seeks a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join the Shared Services team. Qualifications

• Bilingual with professional fluency in Spanish and English, highly preferred.
• Payroll certification, HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in payroll preferred.
• Strong PC application skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and professionally.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to interact across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial understanding and acumen.
• Must be proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Support HR leadership with accurate and timely payroll processing and file preparation.
• Administer employee deductions and benefits, and manage garnishments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Coordinate benefits contributions, reimbursements, and open enrollment processes.
• Respond to employee questions and assist with changes in payroll and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to streamline payroll processes.
• Prepare and explain annual total compensation statements to employees.
• Manage tax withholdings and quarterly/yearly filings for payroll taxes.
