Qualifications

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Crane Composites is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team, based in our Channahon IL office. Reporting to the VP, HR this role will be responsible for payroll processing, benefits support, compliance and reporting for approximately 400 associates across 4 US based locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ADP Workforce Now and will collaborate with HR and Finance, to process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations ensuring data integrity.

Payroll

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate and on time processing of bi-weekly payroll, bonuses, commissions, pay changes and annual W2 filing.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and research payroll related issues in a timely manner.

Benefits

  • Support and facilitate communications with associates and third party vendors.
  • Assist with open enrollment projects.

Compliance And Reporting

  • Partner with Controller to ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes and government mandated filing(s).
  • Manage annual functions including W2s, and UI updates to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with finance during company audit(s).

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Support various office related items cross functionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Associate's degree required.
  • 3+ years processing multi state payroll.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in payroll systems; ADP WFN highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a benefits administrator, HRIS analyst or in similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll principles, tax laws, practices, and procedures.
  • Collaborative work style; high team-orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize; effective time management and follow up.
  • Professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential data and information.
