Job summary

Pepkor Payments and Lending (Pty) Ltd seeks a Payroll and Benefits Officer within the People Support Department to process payroll professionally and timely, and to provide comprehensive payroll and benefits administration support.

The role requires a payroll/HR qualification, ~3 years' payroll experience (preferably SAGE 300 People), and strong knowledge of PAYE, benefits, and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Payroll / HR.
• About 3 years of payroll system experience, preferably SAGE 300 People.
• Experience processing hourly and salaried payroll.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payrolls accurately for hourly and salaried staff by due dates.
• Administer payroll, benefits and leave systems promptly.
• Load new employees on SAGE 300 People by the 10th of each month.
• Maintain payroll records and reconcile PAYE, UIF and SDL.
• Provide benefits administration and assist with annual benefits open period.
• Ensure payroll compliance with Labour Legislation and tax regulations.
