Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company is seeking a Payroll & Benefits professional to manage payroll, benefits, and HR operations. The role includes hands-on execution, internal controls, and leadership to support employees across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in payroll and benefits with supervisory experience, plus ADP certification within the first year. Strong MS Office skills and prior ADP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years payroll and benefits experience with 2+ years supervisory experience.
• ADP Certification required within first year of employment; CPP/CEBS desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; corporate ADP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee semi-monthly payroll processing with accurate earnings, deductions and adjustments.
• Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, FSA) and coordinate with carriers/vendors.
• Lead HRIS data integrity, security controls and workflow configurations; support system upgrades.
• Act as leave manager for FMLA, ADA, PTO and other leave policies with compliant documentation.
• Support payroll and HR audits; liaise with auditors and ensure regulatory reporting.
• Maintain relations with benefits brokers and third-party administrators; resolve billing discrepancies.
• Manage annual benefits enrollment and new hire elections; communicate changes and wellness initiatives.
• Be the primary internal contact for payroll, benefits and HR system questions from employees and managers.
• Produce HR reports to support compliance and planning; conduct data queries and audits.
• Contribute to other HR projects as assigned.
