Richland County School District One seeks a Director of Payroll and Accounts Payable to lead payroll and AP functions within Financial Services in Columbia, SC. This role reports to the Executive Director of Finance and oversees a team to ensure accurate processing and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/management with at least five years in public finance and strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management.
• Minimum five years in public finance administration.
• Experience supervising payroll and accounts payable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee operation of Accounts Payable and Payroll and related reporting.
• Supervise staff; assign workloads and schedules; approve transfers.
• Maintain budgetary controls to ensure expenditures stay within appropriations.
• Advise district officials on financial matters and prepare disbursement budgets.
• Coordinate with IT on ERP/Kronos changes to improve data accuracy.
