Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a meticulous Payroll Analyst in Culver City, CA to support a high-volume payroll team for ~800 employees. You will develop strong analytical, troubleshooting, and compliance skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include payroll operations, data reconciliation, and using Excel to identify discrepancies. ERP experience and knowledge of timekeeping systems like UKG Telestaff or Munis are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vLookup and Pivot Tables.
• Experience analyzing payroll operations for 500+ employees.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeline.
• Analyze payroll reports and reconcile data against system records.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (vLookUps and Pivot Tables) to identify discrepancies.
• Research and resolve payroll issues, communicating findings to leadership.
• Perform root-cause analysis on payroll discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Assist with payroll submissions, data entry, and processing activities.
• Review and analyze retroactive payroll adjustments and payments.
• Support payroll compliance, including FLSA regulations and reporting requirements.
