Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of payroll experience in a high-volume or multi-state environment.
  • Experience with ESPP, RSUs, NQs for large publicly traded companies.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process multi-state payroll according to regulations.
  • Review and validate payroll data for accuracy.
  • Execute off-cycle payrolls and manual payments as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour regulations.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends.

Skills

The candidate can communicate with all levels in the organization, from line employees to CEO staff members, and has experience working in fast‑moving environments where priorities can shift with little notice.

What you’ll do
  • Prepare and process multi‑state payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Review and validate payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, earnings, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
  • Execute off‑cycle payrolls, corrections, and manual payments when required.
  • Coordinate payroll funding and general ledger postings.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections.
  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external agencies during audits or inquiries.
  • Monitor, research, and interpret regulatory changes affecting payroll.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports for HR, Finance, and leadership.
  • Support year‑end processes including W‑2 review, tax reconciliations, and reporting.
Who we’re looking for
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • 5–7 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high‑volume or multi‑state environment.
  • Experienced with ESPP, RSUs, NQs for large publicly traded companies.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC certification.
  • Experience with HRIS integrations and payroll interfaces.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
