Job summary

Lam Research in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to be a trusted advisor, owning forecast, P&L, and strategic initiatives for the North America Region. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive financial insights to optimize performance.

You will work with SAP and Workday Adaptive, conduct variance analyses, and support audits. This high‑visibility role reports to a Sr. Director and offers growth in a fast‑moving tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
• Attention to details and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and operational metrics tracking in support of financial cycles.
• Manage quarter-end close processes including variance analysis and actuals vs. forecast reporting.
• Perform financial analysis to influence decisions and support corporate initiatives.
• Prepare and publish reports creating visibility to spending trends and headcount to make spending prioritization recommendations.
• Partner with Business Operations to identify and support or drive profitability initiatives and projects.
• Identify and lead business process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Build trusted business relationships, gain deep understanding of the business, and act as an advisor providing actionable insights.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as controls and compliance related activities.

The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as a Financial Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. As a key member of Lam’s Noth America Region Finance team and reporting to a Sr. Director, this position offers an exciting role in a high growth environment. This position involves managing financial responsibilities for a major global account, including P&L responsibility, forecasting, and supporting strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment. The role requires collaboration across various teams and systems to ensure standardized reporting aligned with company objectives. This role has high visibility with Account General Manager and offers the opportunity to work with different groups within and outside of North America Region. This role will have strong interaction with finance systems such as SAP and Workday Adaptive. This is an individual contributor role.

What you’ll do

• Perform financial forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and operational metrics tracking in support of financial cycles: Quarterly Reviews, Annual Operating Planning (AOP), and Balance Sheet Review (BSR).
• Manage quarter-end close processes including variance analysis and actuals vs. forecast reporting of headcount, Opex, Capex.
• Perform financial analysis to influence decisions and support corporate initiatives.
• Prepare and publish reports creating visibility to spending trends and headcount to make spending prioritization recommendations.
• Partner with Business Operations to identify and support or drive profitability initiatives and projects.
• Identify and lead business process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Build trusted business relationships, gain deep understanding of the business, and act as an advisor providing actionable insights from growth opportunities to cost savings.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as controls and compliance related activities.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
