Job summary

City of St. Cloud is seeking a Payroll Administrator responsible for full-cycle payroll for all city employees and maintaining accurate records. You will compute wages and deductions, ensure compliance with CBAs and laws, and support ERP configuration testing to reflect tax rules.

Responsibilities include bi-weekly to annual payroll processing, benefit deductions, W-2 processes, and budget collaboration. A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in accounting with related experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and three years or more of progressive, end-to-end payroll processing experience.
  • Or an Associate’s degree in accounting with six years or more of full-time experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administers all end-to-end payroll processes for all city employees.
  • Audits time and attendance data for compliance with contracts and policies.
  • Calculates and executes withholdings for taxes, pensions, levies, and benefits.
  • Produces and distributes W-2s.
  • Oversees reconciliation of benefit deductions to vendor invoices.
  • Acts as liaison with external agencies for pensions and workers' compensation.
  • Develops and forecasts the annual personnel services budget.
  • Implements payroll system updates to comply with laws and CBAs.
