Job summary

KNAPP North Americais seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage full-cycle payroll and related HR tasks in a hybrid setup in Kennesaw, GA. The role requires 2–4 years’ payroll experience and certification, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.

You will support HR across the organization, handle garnishments, tax returns, and payroll reporting, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all processes.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years’ experience in payroll administration.
  • Payroll certification (FPC, CPP, or equivalent) required.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills (lookup, pivot tables).
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Ability to process garnishments and payroll tax returns efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Processing accurate and timely payroll in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policy
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried staff, as assigned
  • Setup and maintain employee’s voluntary/involuntary deductions, including garnishments and 401K
  • Review employee payroll transactions including new hires, status changes, and terminations
  • Setup employee tax-related information on hire and changes as necessary
  • Assist with reconciliations of the general ledger for payroll-related accounts
  • Answer questions about pay and resolve issues
  • Assist with generating reports
  • Collaborate with HR across the organization
  • All other duties as assigned

What You Get To Do

The Payroll Administrator will primarily focus on processing full-cycle payroll and some Benefits and HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in HR daily practices along with payroll experience.

Responsibilities and Job Functions:
  • Processing accurate and timely payroll in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policy
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried staff, as assigned
  • Setup and maintain employee’s voluntary/involuntary deductions, to include all garnishments, 401K, and other approved deductions as applicable
  • Review employee payroll transactions including new hires, status changes, and terminations
  • Setup employee’s tax-related information upon hire and changes as necessary
  • Assist with the reconciliations of the general ledger for all payroll related accounts
  • Answer any questions that employees might have about their pay and work to resolve any issues that arise
  • Assist with generating reports
  • Work in conjunction with and support the Human Resources department across the entire organization
  • All other duties as assigned
What You Have
  • 2-4 years’ experience in payroll administration
  • Payroll certification (FPC, CPP, or equivalent) required
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills to include lookup and pivot tables
  • Experience and proficiency working with ADP Workforce Now
  • Ability to process garnishments and payroll tax returns efficiently
Working Conditions and Environment:
  • Overtime, if required by work
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Physical requirements: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 30 pounds
