Job summary

BNY is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Processor for domestic and international wire transfers. You will validate instructions, process payments, and resolve exceptions in a high-volume, compliant environment. This is a 6-month contract based in Lake Mary, Florida, requiring on-site work four days per week.

Responsibilities include SWIFT/ISO messaging interpretation, client authentication, and collaboration with banks and teams worldwide to ensure accurate settlements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in payments operations or related financial services.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT MT103 and MT202 messaging standards.
• Understanding of ISO 20022 PACS.008 and PACS.009 messages.
• Experience with end-to-end payment processing, investigations, and settlements.
• Experience authenticating payment instructions, conducting client callbacks, and verifying transaction details.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate-level education.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes under time-sensitive conditions.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate domestic and international wire transfers within SLAs.
• Review SWIFT MT103/MT202 and ISO 20022 PACS.008 and PACS.009 messages.
• Authenticate payment instructions via client callbacks and signatures.
• Research and resolve payment exceptions and settlements.
• Coordinate with international clients, internal teams, and banks.
• Follow operational controls and regulatory requirements for accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve processing efficiency and automation.
