Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a software engineer for the Global Payments team in San Jose to help build a cross-border payment platform powering TikTok and other products. You will drive payment risk and compliance backend development to protect users, merchants, and the platform.

You will collaborate with global engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment, define priorities with stakeholders, and lead initiatives from execution to landing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant majors.
• Experience in building modern payment systems, and experience in Risk & Compliance is a bonus point.
• Proficient in one or multiple programming languages, e.g. Go, C/C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Experience in the distributed system, backend API development and related fields.
• Good product sense, experience in building large-scale consumer-facing product.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
