You will manage day-to-day processing, strive to improve accuracy and efficiency, partner with risk, compliance, and treasury teams, and help ensure secure, compliant banking operations in a stable environment with supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Onsite work experience in a financial operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deposit accounts processing and maintenance (checking, savings, time deposits).
• Manage domestic and international wires, ACH RDFI/ODFI activity, checks, and card transactions.
• Ensure payment activity complies with NACHA rules, Fedwire, stakeholders deadlines.
• Monitor daily payment volumes and support timely processing of critical transactions.
• Oversee dispute resolution for ACH returns, wire recalls, check disputes, and card chargebacks.
• Partner with risk, compliance, and treasury teams to support secure operations and risk mitigation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payments Operations Officer for a direct hire opportunity in Los Altos, CA. This full-time, exempt role is ideal for a banking operations professional with strong experience in deposit operations, ACH, wire transfers, check processing, and payment compliance.

The Payments Operations Officer will manage day-to-day deposit and payment processing activities while helping improve operational efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical banking operations in a stable, professional environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee processing and maintenance of deposit accounts, including checking, savings, time deposits, and business and consumer deposit products.
• Manage payment operations for domestic and international wires, ACH RDFI and ODFI activity, check processing, and debit or credit card transactions.
• Ensure payment activity complies with NACHA rules, Fedwire regulations, settlement deadlines, and applicable banking standards.
• Monitor daily payment volumes and support timely, accurate processing of critical transactions.
• Oversee dispute resolution activity, including ACH returns, wire recall requests, check disputes, and debit or credit card chargebacks.
• Partner with risk management, compliance, and treasury teams to support secure operations, process improvement, and risk mitigation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
• Job type: Direct hire, full-time, exempt.
• Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday.
