Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student for the Spring and Summer 2027 Research Internship in the Payments Forum. The role involves recruitment of financial institutions and data submission for FRPS, with on-site, hybrid, or remote options and a schedule of 15 hours per week in spring and 30 hours per week in summer.

Candidate must be enrolled, preferably in economics, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, plus creative thinking

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates willing to make a two-semester commitment (Spring/Summer 2027).
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of depository and financial institutions, major card networks, payments processors, and card issuers for the FRPS.
• Data submission and validation activities as part of the FRPS.
• Encourage respondent participation in the Federal Reserve Payments Study (FRPS).
• Collaborate with the Payments Forum and Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
