Job summary

Harper is seeking a problem-solving specialist to own complex customer issues that cross payments, disputes, cancellations, audits, and insurance questions. You will speak with customers, gather records, and drive to a documented resolution across systems.

You should be comfortable with phone conversations, able to read through multiple records, and explain processes clearly. This role supports a growing base of small businesses with offices in Atlanta and San Francisco, with relocation options.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments, disputes, cancellations, or audits within a high-volume customer service environment.
• Ability to read multiple systems without losing the customer's question.
• Calm and direct communication with frustrated customers; strong documentation of facts.

Responsibilities

• Resolve payment questions by tracing the payment state and ownership.
• Handle end-to-end disputes: gather source records, explain current state, and record final outcome.
• Manage cancellation complexity by reviewing the full event chain before communicating truth.
• Support audits by identifying needed records and routing questions to the correct owner.
• Explain insurance questions within authority and escalate licensed decisions.
• Engage customers by phone when live conversation speeds resolution.
• Reconcile across systems prior to closing a case and maintain ownership and update points.
• Identify recurring issues and flag patterns for improvement.
