Job summary

Aristocrat Interactive is seeking a Payments, Fraud, and Risk Analyst to join our team. You will monitor payment performance, detect fraud, manage risk, and optimize operations across our iLottery and iGaming businesses, leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis and detection capabilities.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to produce clear insights, deliver consistent reporting, improve data quality, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 3+ years in payments, fintech, gaming, e-commerce, or fraud/risk analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
• Experience with business intelligence platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Ability to identify data-quality issues and reconcile information across multiple sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in or experience with AI methods for data analysis and fraud detection.
• Experience working with payment processors, acquiring banks, gateways, or ACH providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payment and risk metrics such as approvals, volumes, and fraud alerts.
• Analyze performance across clients, markets, payment methods, and risk indicators.
• Investigate unusual trends and processing anomalies.
• Apply AI and ML techniques to improve fraud detection and risk analysis.
• Provide findings and recommendations to Payments leadership.
• Generate regular payment and fraud reports for iLottery and iGaming.
• Ensure data accuracy across internal systems and BI tools.
• Develop and maintain reporting standards, controls, and validation.
• Identify opportunities for payment optimization and cost savings.
• Investigate incidents and fraud events with internal teams and providers.
• Document root causes and ongoing monitoring requirements.
• Support preparedness for new clients, markets, providers.

What You’ll Do

• Investigate payment incidents and fraud events, partnering with internal teams and service providers.
• Document root causes, corrective actions, and ongoing monitoring requirements.
• Support payment and fraud preparedness for new clients, markets, and providers.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in payments, financial services, fintech, gaming, e-commerce, transaction processing, or fraud/risk analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
• Experience working with business intelligence platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Ability to identify data-quality issues and reconcile information across multiple sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
