Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Representative II to oversee payment research and reconciliation across the revenue cycle enterprise. You will collaborate with Payment Representatives, Accounting and Finance to investigate issues affecting cash processing and ensure accurate posting and balancing of payments.

Responsibilities include resolving payment discrepancies, reviewing EOBs, contacting payors, and maintaining QA standards while meeting productivity benchmarks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
• Strong MS Excel and Access skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve payment issues through research and investigation.
• Review explanation of benefits to confirm payments were applied properly.
• Contact third party payors or view payor portals for information.
• Utilize payor portals for claims determination, eligibility, offsets and appeals.
• Apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts in compliance with regulations.
• Validate transaction postings from EOBs or remittance postings.
• Research over-posted credits and reconcile cash records with batches.
• Communicate system and reimbursement issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to workflows and maintain quality assurance
