The Payment Posting Specialist (Remote in AZ, TX, NC, SC, and FL) is responsible for daily tasks including financial integrity for payments received, researching missing payments, and critical thinking skills to reconcile and ensure accurate accounts receivable reporting. This position will manually post insurance payments, personal pays, zero pays, and post adjustments accordingly, supporting the mission, vision, and values of Mindpath Health and providing quality service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Executes manual payment posting for all insurance carriers and patient payments received electronically or by mail
• Daily review of unapplied insurance and patient credits
• Reaches out to payors to track missing payments and confirm deposit locations
• Reconciles daily deposits
• Completes assigned worklists
• Assists other team members as needed
• Works with EOBs, EFTs, and ERAs
• Maintains confidentiality in patient accounts
• Assists with special projects, including sending claims, statements, and patient collections
• Performs other duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle with a focus on payment posting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical aptitude for open systems environments
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build good working relationships
• Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Maintains strict confidentiality of personal/health-sensitive information
