Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle team. Under supervision, you will post payments received electronically and by mail, manage multiple payment queues, and assist physicians, staff and patients with billing questions.

You will help ensure timely completion of all billing functions and contribute to helping the department meet its goals. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of medical billing experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity

Job description

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - Working under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager and Lead Biller will share the responsibilities of being accessible to physicians, staff and patients regarding billing questions; assures that all billing functions are completed in a timely fashion and develops billing goals. Position consists of posting payments received both electronically and by mail. Working various queues related to payments and other tasks as assigned by manager.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of medical billing experience

• Competency with ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines

Salary Range

$21.06-$31.96
