Onbe is seeking a Payment Operations Intelligence Specialist to strengthen fraud prevention and operational efficiency. You will monitor systems, analyze new approaches, and help implement automation to reduce manual work and improve data usage.

Ideal candidates are analytical, tech-savvy, and curious about better ways of working, with a background in business, finance, or data science and exposure to RPA tools like Power Automate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Criminal Justice, Data Science).
• Basic understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts or Power Automate.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Exposure to data analysis concepts.

Summary

Our Payment Operations Intelligence team is looking for a Specialist to help strengthen how we prevent and respond to fraud while making our operations more efficient. You’ll work with the team to monitor and improve fraud prevention strategies, research emerging fraud trends, evaluate potential false positives, and identify ways to improve the customer experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore and implement technology and automation solutions—including Power Automate, VBA, and basic scripting—to reduce manual work, streamline processes, and improve how the team uses data and technology. Overall, this role is ideal for someone who is analytical, curious, comfortable with technology, and excited to find better ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring the systems used by the fraud prevention team.
• Support the analysis of new fraud prevention approaches to understand how well they are working.
• Help identify potential improvements or changes to existing fraud prevention methods.
• Learn about and contribute to the evaluation of new technology features that could improve the department's efficiency and success.
• Participate in quality checks to understand how team members are performing their tasks.
• Assist in researching industry-wide fraud trends and help implement basic preventative measures.
• Support the analysis of potential false alarms to help reduce inconvenience for customers.
• Contribute to the development of new fraud prevention strategies for different risk levels.
• Assist in the review of existing fraud prevention strategies to ensure they are still effective.
• Help evaluate current communication methods to identify what works well and what could be better.
• Support projects aimed at automating tasks using tools like Microsoft Power Automate, VBA, and basic scripting.
• Assist in building automations using Power Automate to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.
• Help identify opportunities across the organization to improve efficiency and reduce the need for more resources.
• Explore the existing capabilities of our technology and learn how data can be used to improve performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Criminal Justice, Data Science, or a related area.
• Basic understanding or coursework related to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts or tools like Microsoft Power Automate.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Exposure to or basic understanding of data analysis concepts.

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $58,050 to $61,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
