About the Job
Anduril is seeking a Payloads Integration Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa headquarters. The team develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams in concert with ground maneuver forces, leveraging existing Anduril drone platforms and integrating 3rd‑party platforms into Anduril’s Lattice ecosystem. You will lead or enable mechanical design, analysis, and integration of payloads into host platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Lead or support efforts performing integration, verification, and/or validation of weapon systems on Anduril’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems platforms.
- Develop program plans, estimates, and schedules.
- Develop system/architecture designs, perform system‑level analysis, and generate requirements.
- Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements.
- Develop and present technical material for reviews and meetings.
- Support lab, ground, and flight test events.
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents, Software Requirement Specifications, Performance Specifications, presentations, and review test plans/procedures.
- Coordinate and interface with customers, contractors, and engineering groups assigned to projects.
- Support ongoing operation of the weapons systems.
- Provide support for proposals and white papers for future efforts or capabilities.
- Provide direction to design and technical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline with progressive engineering experience: nine or more years for a bachelor’s, seven or more years for a master’s, or five or more years for a PhD. Equivalent experience may substitute education.
- Software programming or embedded systems experience, including familiarity with C++, MATLAB, Python, PERL scripting, etc.
- Familiarity with air‑to‑air weapons, MIL‑STD‑1553, and logical interface control documents.
- Experience integrating weapons, payloads, or avionics onto aircraft.
- Experience with weapon or tactical datalinks.
- Customer‑focused with the ability to formulate and implement plans to resolve technical engineering problems.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NX/Teamcenter.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience designing mechanical parts and test equipment (CAD).
- Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, composite lamination, etc.).
- Experience developing subsystem layouts, performing architectural trade studies, and evaluating vendor performance data.
Salary Range
$146,000—$194,000 USD (inclusive of base salary only; equity grants are included in the overall compensation package).
