Job summary

Urban Sky is hiring a Payload & Avionics Assembly Technician to manufacture and refurbish payload and avionics systems at our Denver, CO headquarters. You will work with the Lead Technician and hardware engineering team to assemble both production and R&D systems for regular flight operations.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience in an ESD-sensitive environment, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, repair and troubleshooting in an ESD sensitive environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask with high level of attention to detail and precision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical concepts.
• Good problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking and creative thinking skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMEA processes.
• Experience with technical writing.
• Soldering experience for through-hole and SMD components.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and integration of electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Semi-automated testing of completed assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and track manufacturing issues with assistance from the Electrical Engineering team.
