Position: Payer Strategy Physician Contract Specialist

Location: Remote (preferably in California, with California physician contract experience)

Responsibilities:

• Review and redline contract proposals, language, and rate sheets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Recommend corrections, changes, and language opportunities in documents.
• Assist with updating project plans, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions related to payer contract renewals and planning.
• Ensure all contractual documents are signed and properly filed.
• Coordinate with teams for credentialing processes.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hospital and specialty hospital information.
• Communicate and operationalize contract terms, amendments, and policies.
• Maintain knowledge base on financial statements, news, and other relevant information.
• Adhere to contracting guidelines, supporting negotiations for hospital, physician, and ancillary services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-2 years physician contract negotiation experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care operations, and contracting.
• Effective negotiation, project management, communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft/Google Suite.
