Job description

Payer Relationship Manager

As a Payer Relationship Manager, you will serve as the vital link between our health insurance partners and internal teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment. You will cultivate and nurture strong relationships with payer contacts while working cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to balance both payer and internal needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our partnerships thrive.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our network & operations partners at assigned payer accounts, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Support internal teams in prioritizing, escalating, and resolving operational issues with payer partners.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each payer relationship, including strategic initiatives beyond day-to-day operations, to enable more effective management.
  • Coordinate and manage regular partnership calls with external partners to ensure the top priorities are being discussed.
  • Drive projects within the Payer Success team to develop scalable processes that improve support for internal teams and payer accounts.
  • Monitor payer health metrics to assess performance, contribute to regular team reporting, and help prioritize internal efforts for issue resolution.
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews highlighting operational strengths and areas for improvement.

  • You have a proven 2-3 year track record in an account-facing role within the healthcare, insurance, or technology sectors.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and fostering meaningful connections with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • You are a creative thinker with strong analytical skills, adept at identifying challenges and implementing strategic solutions.
  • You can collaborate effectively across teams, driving collective success and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, remain flexible in the face of change, and demonstrate resilience when navigating challenges.

Salary Band: $109,200 - $156,000
