Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of payer contracting experience on the provider side of healthcare.
• Experience negotiating payer agreements including commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
• Experience with ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) preferred and multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payer contracting across facilities and service lines.
• Lead negotiations for commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other payer agreements.
• Review and analyze fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies, and contract language.
• Monitor third-party contracting vendors for submissions, renewals, and negotiations.
• Evaluate financial impact of proposed contracts and reimbursement structures.
• Maintain relationships with payer representatives and network contacts.
• Coordinate with credentialing, revenue cycle, finance, and operations.
• Track contract renewals, expiration dates, and notification periods.
• Review payer policy updates and identify opportunities for amendments.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
• Support integration efforts related to acquisitions and network expansion.
• Identify opportunities to improve reimbursement and payer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee payer contracting activities across multiple healthcare facilities and service lines
• Lead negotiations for commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other payer agreements
• Review and analyze fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies, and contract language
• Monitor third-party contracting vendors to ensure timely submissions, renewals, and negotiations
• Evaluate the financial impact of proposed contracts and reimbursement structures
• Maintain strong working relationships with payer representatives and network contacts
• Coordinate closely with credentialing, revenue cycle, finance, and operational teams
• Track contract renewals, expiration dates, and required notification periods
• Review payer policy updates and identify opportunities for contract amendments
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and executive stakeholders
• Support integration efforts related to acquisitions, newly added facilities, and network expansion
• Identify strategic opportunities to improve reimbursement and strengthen payer relationships

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of payer contracting experience on the provider side of healthcare
• Strong background negotiating and managing healthcare payer agreements
• Experience with ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) required
• Experience supporting multiple facilities, locations, or multi-state operations preferred
• Demonstrated success negotiating reimbursement rates and contract terms
• Strong understanding of fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies, and contract interpretation
• Experience managing contract renewals, amendments, and payer relationships
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with executive leadership
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting healthcare acquisitions, mergers, or facility integrations
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Experience within large specialty practices, surgery centers, or multi-site provider organizations
• Financial modeling and reimbursement analysis experience
• Background overseeing third-party contracting firms or consulting partners
