Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Payer Analytics and Economics Analyst to leverage data-driven insights on payer contracts and market trends. You will build financial models, analyze reimbursement methodologies, and drive improvements in contract terms and profitability across health system payers.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with healthcare reimbursement, and the ability to train stakeholders on revenue projections and contract simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/healthcare or related field with 1 year of financial healthcare reimbursement analysis experience.
• Understanding of national standards for fee-for-service and value-based reimbursement.
• Experience contributing to profitability via detailed financial analysis and data management.
• Ability to analyze contracts, trends, budgeting, forecasting and healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategic pricing analysis to support reimbursement rates and language in managed care contracting.
• Monitor contract financial performance and publish payer performance statements.
• Provide stakeholder training on modeling of negotiated contracts and revenue projections.
• Liaise between CommonSpirit Health and payers to update reimbursement information.
• Prepare service line reimbursement analyses and develop models for new strategies and rate structures.
• Identify and access internal and external data sources to support analyses.
