Job summary

Abacus Insights is seeking a Payer Analytics Consultant to act as the dedicated data and analytics partner for health plans and client teams. You will translate questions into data models, dashboards, and analyses, leveraging AI and automation to move faster and deeper.

This is a client-facing, analytics-first role with ~25% travel to client sites. You will be the technical engine, while also building trusted relationships with stakeholders and contributing to standard analytics delivery across

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare data analytics.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and Power BI and/or Tableau, with a track record of building dashboards.
• Experience analyzing medical/pharmacy claims, provider performance, or payment integrity data.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate client questions into data models, reports, and analyses.
• Travel onsite to client locations to gather requirements and present findings.
• Design and manage data pipelines inside client Snowflake or Databricks environments.
• Produce presentation-ready analyses and dashboards for consultants and clients.
