Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an experienced Groomer to pamper pets with brushing, bathing and styling while delivering neighborly service. You’ll work with families to meet breed standards and owners’ requests, and help grow the store’s grooming reputation.

A HS diploma or GED is required, with 1+ year grooming experience and a willingness to work evenings and weekends. You must provide your own equipment and pass drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift pets and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass drug screening (where applicable) and be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Grooming and styling pets per owners’ instructions and breed standards.
• Ensure wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Develop relationships with pet parents and recommend products and services.
• Complete safety training and maintain a clean grooming area.
