Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
Five or more years of logistics or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
Experience negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships.
Strong Excel skills and comfort with inventory and cost reporting.
Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
Working knowledge of transportation management and warehouse management systems.
Background in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Bilingual communication skills for supplier and carrier contacts.
APICS or similar supply chain certification.
Experience with international shipping and customs compliance.
Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers.
Track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies in warehouse records.
Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce freight spend.
Supervise warehouse and logistics staff and set daily work priorities.
Resolve delivery delays, damaged shipments, and supplier issues.
Maintain compliance with safety, import, and export regulations.
Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet production and customer needs.
