We are seeking an experienced Paving Superintendent to join our growing team.
Aero Paving & Construction is seeking a dedicated Paving Supervisor responsible for overseeing paving crews, including Craft Supervisors, Craft Leads, and Craft personnel. This role will manage the concrete paving crew to ensure high-quality concrete paving is installed safely, productively, and efficiently. The supervisor will coordinate closely with the company leadership to ensure that work plans and procedures are followed in the field. The role is responsible for ensuring that crews adhere to safety standards, attendance policies, and workplace behavior guidelines.
The successful candidate will manage the preparation and execution of slipform and fixed-form paving operations, ensuring that finished pavements meet stringent FAA, USACE, and various state/DOT specifications. This position also oversees direct in-field supervision of the crew and works on all phases of construction. As the front-line Safety Officer on the project, the supervisor is directly responsible for the safety of their crew. This role requires travel, working out of town, and night shifts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites including extreme weather conditions that include but are not limited to high heat and humidity, cold, ice, snow, & rain. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee works from platforms at height. The employee walks and works on unlevel, steep, slippery, wet, muddy, & inconsistent ground. The employee must have excellent stamina.
