South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an Engineering Technician to assist the Resident Construction Engineer in monitoring paving projects and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

You will coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and officials, prepare daily diaries and reports, and maintain accurate field records. A high school diploma and 2 years of related experience are required, with potential travel and outdoor work.

Competenze

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of progressively responsible engineering technician experience or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel and work in potentially hazardous outdoor environments.

Mansioni

• Assist Resident Construction Engineer in monitoring asphalt paving and related work on projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and officials to plan, execute, and supervise work activities.
• Prepare daily diaries, forms, checklists, logs, and reports; update SCDOT systems accordingly.
• Review plans, specs, and other project documents for accuracy and changes; record field changes and as-builts.
