Job summary

Rose Paving LLC in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join our operations team. You will support paving, sealcoating, and related construction activities on commercial projects, performing physical labor including saw cutting and asphalt replacement to grade.

This role requires 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent education, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred or obtained within 6 months.
• Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 60 lbs, and endure varied weather.
• Strong communication and teamwork; attention to safety.
• Familiarity with asphalt/construction processes.
• Experience with hand/power tools and equipment.
• Able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor on patching and paving projects including saw cutting and asphalt removal.
• Assist in offloading, spreading, shoveling, and tamping to achieve grade.
• Clear roads of debris and ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with traffic control to protect work zones.
• Measure paving areas to verify project specs.
• Operate hand tools and equipment to support paving.
• Monitor site safety and enforce signage.
• Report accidents and follow safety procedures.
• Support Foreman with assignments and site cleanup.
