Job summary

Rose Paving is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join our operations team. The role involves manual paving-related tasks on parking lots, including saw cutting, asphalt removal, and finishing surfaces to grade.

You will assist with catch basins, bollards, and other maintenance duties as directed by Foreman or Team Lead. Primary duties include inspecting and maintaining equipment, helping with traffic control, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (Class A CDL preferred or must be obtained within six months of hire).
• Ability to lift to 60 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor on paving projects including saw cutting, asphalt removal, base compaction and patching.
• Assist with offloading, spreading, shoveling and tamping to grade.
• Support traffic control and maintain a safe job site.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; report repairs as needed.
• Drive trucks to transport materials and assist in equipment maintenance.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to company safety procedures.
