Job summary

Pave America and it's companies is seeking a skilled Paving Equipment Operator to operate machinery for asphalt roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. You will run pavers, rollers, skid steers, and compactors with a focus on safety and precision.

The role requires experience with road construction, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Applicants should be prepared for overtime and regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating paving or heavy equipment preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to safety standards.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including Mini excavators, Pavers, Skid steers, and Forklifts.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
• Load, unload, and position equipment safely on job sites.
• Assist with paving operations to ensure even asphalt distribution and proper compaction.
• Follow grade markers and specifications for slope and thickness.
• Maintain control of speed, feed, and depth of material application.
• Support handwork or labor duties when equipment is not in use.
• Comply with safety regulations, traffic control procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate clearly with crew members and foreman during paving operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
