Job summary

S&S Paving & Construction, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to assist with paving, grading, excavation, concrete, and general site work. The role requires physical labor, outdoor work in varying weather, and a commitment to teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction, paving, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance record.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asphalt paving, patching, milling, and roadway construction projects.
• Perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and cleanup activities.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist equipment operators, foremen, and other crew members as needed.
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices and work zone safety measures.
• Shovel, rake, compact, and spread asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform general labor duties and other tasks assigned by supervisors.
