Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or related work experience.
• 1-2 yrs CDL driving experience with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater.
• Must have Tanker endorsement.
• In compliance with all DOT physical requirements.
• Valid class B Commercial Drivers License is required.
• Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
• Skilled in loading/unloading fuel and oil from the fuel truck at terminals.

Responsibilities

• Make daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle and report problems to the shop.
• Drive truck to predetermined destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads.
• Work with paving crews.
• Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicate problems with traffic or site conditions and obtain information on job site locations and road conditions on the way to site.
• Comply with truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair per Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
• Operate paving-related vehicles to support asphalt paving operations and coordinate with the paving crew.
