Job Summary
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously, including arrhythmia analysis.
  • Interpret and document rhythms according to established protocols.
  • Communicate with nursing regarding patient rhythm status and equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot telemetry equipment as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes.

  • Follow patient care standards aligned with national guidelines.
  • Work closely with nursing units monitoring patients via telemetry.
  • Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms, including arrhythmias.
  • Review alarms and data for abnormalities.
  • Communicate promptly with nursing staff about changes or issues.
  • Troubleshoot telemetry equipment problems.
Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technical Program or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Advanced ECG interpretation knowledge, demonstrated by an exam.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and arrhythmias.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pre-interview EKG test required.

Note: All qualifications must be met to be considered for interview.

Work Schedule

Additional Information

This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement. Background screening and pre-employment drug testing are required.
